Paul McCartney and Heather Mills Split
Reading the newspaper this morning, I discovered an article about the breakup of Sir Paul McCartney and Heather Mills. I don't usually read this kind of rot, but something caught my eye.
The settlement amount.
Apparently it equates to $2.5 million for each WEEK the couple were married. $2.5 million. I'm gobsmacked to say the least.
The woman claims she's not a gold-digger. I'm kinda finding that claim hard to believe at this point. Who needs 2.5 mill a WEEK? I would only need to be married for a week to be deliriously happy for the rest of my life! People need to learn to do other things with their money. Find something useful to do with it - more than a billion people on this planet make less than $1 a day (yes Heather, that's a single dollar, there's no million behind it) and silly english cows want $2.5 million per week. So much for Heather's social conscience.
Oh, and Sir Paul, if by some vastly ridiculous twist of fate you are reading this, I'm a BARGAIN! I don't want to hold your wallet, honey, I wanna hold your hand.

Not sure what difference it makes, her being English? celeb weddings rarely last so this news comes as very little surprise.

with that kind of money, lots of poor homeless children will be fed. what's with them anyways?? it's better if Paul M. will just donate it to charity.

I'm with Glamel - donate the money to charity. Donate 2 weeks from each month to a different charity. MAKE A DIFFERENCE! There are so many people in the world worse off than Heather Mills. I know she supports PETA and victims of land-mines, but there are so many hungry people, people who have to drink dirty water, and children sold into prostitution. How about helping them with your lazy cash?
Don't know what being English has to do with anything - maybe a reference to Mad Cow Disease?

She's actually donated plenty of time and money to charity. From what I read, she's especially keen on the mine victims as she only has the one leg.

Gee...a woman married a famous 900 year old billionaire and then divorced him...taking a big wad of HIS cash with her. What a surprise. There are two kinds of people who get married:

The size of the divorce settlement is pure speculation at this point - I think the press has just been pointing out what she may be entitled to. As to what she decides to take. I think the figure bandied about comes from half his earnings from the four years they were married (that's without child support) - I don't think either of them will be hurting financially, whatever happens.
