A Record
Today we are supposed to reach 80 degrees. Yesterday was in the 70s. Then down the temperature goes for a few days. Living in Colorado, weather-wise, is quite an adventure.
I was going to tell that I was finished packing but just couldn't do it. I did 12 loads of laundry yesterday just to be caught up again. Plus, this included a bit of getting ahead so next week is not insane.
Trying to pick a mover is a pain you know where. I go through the Better Business Bureau (BBB) to get their grade and number of complaints over 36 months.
We refuse to repair the damage done by upstairs. It would require we tape and plaster and paint. With the lack of assistance, and support, we received, the landlord/lady are on their own. Right now they are ignoring us once again. Talk about acting like children. Yipes, Stompy just surpassed her previous record for stomps. I will be right back. I need to ensure she did not come through the ceiling. Oh good, no joining me in our condo but more plaster and paint have broken free. We are keeping every piece we find has fallen. The average size for these pieces of plaster and paint is about the size of a quarter or a 50-cent piece. (Sorry, dear friends in other countries. As I do not know your monetary system I cannot explain utilizing your currency. Roughly 2 inches in diameter.) Just think, the HOA's attorney feels this is all related to the lack of insulation in the outer walls. No wonder he is an attorney and not a contractor. My brother had me as his assistant in each property he purchased and updated. I know how to do the plastering and such. However, we have spent enough time dealing with this. The landlord/lady have been quite curt and rude to us lately so they can just deal with Stompy without our help. That includes if they take her to court for damage or loss of tenants. We informed the landlord/lady that Stompy is not the only reason we are leaving. There are many reasons.
It has been a good morning, FT wise. As soon as I finish my mover search, I will begin packing. As I spent the last few months totally organizing everything, packing should fly. Plus, what an incentive. Not having Stompy wake us one half hour after we go to sleep. I swear (not often) that there are times when it sounds as if she is bowling and throwing the ball rather rolling it.
Ok, time to proceed to the next project.
Oh, by the way, I did a bit of investigation of Hugo Weaving. Then, for some odd reason, he was in my dreams. That has never happened before. However, I find him to be an interesting person. Perhaps that is why. It is just nice to dream after so many years of not doing so.
Have a lovely day. I am off to do the adult stuff in my world. At least when I finish, that means more completed projects.
Hugs.

I'm finding that if the adults in the world would act that way in business dealings, the world would be a better place. You are wonderfully patient people. I'd probably have shot a load of birdshot through the ceiling and said it went off because she was stomping. Good luck in finding a mover. My aunt and sister work for a company up here. It's a rough time for the industry, as most people aremoving themselves to save money so I hope you find a good deal.
Enjoy the sun and have a good day!

I remember the days when we were able to move ourselves. They are long gone. So far, the prices seem to be about the same as a year ago.
Needless to say, we have thought of what we would like to do about upstairs. However, we believe the best thing to do is turn the entire situation over to the very people who refuse to do anything about it. Now they get to deal with Stompy and all the damages she has created.

I hope the move goes smooth. And may you be blessed with great neighbors.

Yes, what Garry said.
And yes, we all remember the days when we could move ourselves. No furniture, just a suitcase full of clothes, and a hair dryer. We don't want to go back to that, do we? Thought not. :)
