A gathering place for friends.

How Is It Going?

Whew!  Two banana breads and two corn breads completed.  I am moving so fast, I am actually shaking.  So, now I will return to Classical music and will myself to slow down a bit.

Now, add a trip to get milk and eggs and you will see I have had a very busy morning.  Plus, I have already run one load of dishes and am about to unload and then reload the next batch.  Flying on wings of several missions.

Landlord is behaving.  That is good for I am not in the mood to deal with foolishness.  Now if I can just get the idiots from Hubby's benefits group to stop calling us, it will be wonderful.  They do not listen to the fact he has returned to work and is not in need of them.  Why do companies act like they have no brains?  It is beyond me and is such a supreme waste of time.  All I can think of is job security.

We have a new issue.  Each time upstairs comes home and opens up her door the most disgusting smell arrives.  Almost like she has spilled something related to hair coloring or perhaps she is making something upstairs that she does not want anyone to know of....oh well, just a few more days.  The smell only comes through the coat closet and lasts about 1/2 hour.  It is gross and that is being kind.   Uck, uck, uck.  It even produces a headache of pain until we finally give in and run the air conditioner.

Now to make a few phone calls and schedule one mover while cancelling the other.  You see, I did a bit of investigation about the soon-to-be-fired movers.  They lie.  This is not a good thing.  It is a very bad thing.  It is better to say nothing than it is to lie.  Lies grow.  Plus, real life is strange enough without adding a falsehood.  Truth always tells the same.

As I listen to the music, I am reminded of all the groups with which I once sang.  I lost so much after the auto accident, then the thyroid, then the pain.  Well, ha!  I am reclaiming every bit of it and even remember the majority of the words to all the music.  That will teach life to try and best me.  Never will it happen.

Today I will start packing the knick-knacks.  Then on to the next item.  I hope to have the majority packed by the weekend.  Hubby will help and then next week I will be able to clean and wash the sheers for packing.

Ok, I must go.  I will return later to do the next set of globals.  I refuse to stop playing simply as I am busy.  It is a welcome respite in a busy day.

Hugs.  Be well, be safe and be good to yourselves.  After all, if we are not good to ourselves, who will be?

  • Not sure it's safe to try to talk to you - you sound unstoppable. And anyone who tries to get you to stop will be blown aside!

Lying is not a good thing, specially if the people doing the lying want you to employ them. I am awed by the efficiency of your investigating.

If you think she is making something upstairs that she does not want anyone to know of, she probably is. I'd put money on your identifying it before you leave.

  • Well, from the chemical odor of it, and the fact we have smelled it before, and observed people buying certain products with which to make what I believe we are smelling, I am glad we are leaving before the whole freaking place blows up.

    Boom!

Some people are so foolish. They think others are ignorant. Yet, they do not understand someone always sees what they are doing.

So, as I do not wish to be sued, I will make no more comments about the items we suspect are being manufactured.

Oh, and I will always stop going at Mach 10 for friends. Time is always available for that...friends are special and to be treasured.

Off I go to finish packing the knick-knacks....why oh why did we collect so many things.....it never seems so many when I am dusting....just packing. Yikes!

  • I agree. Lies are a waste of breath. I spent a fair amount of time trying before I figured that out. Now people sometimes wish I wasn't so truthful. If it reeks in your place, I wonder how she can live in there.
    Have a good day!

  • I'm intrigued now. What on earth can she be making... and why... and will you hear the explosion from your new house?

  • Lesley, I could give you a list of the chemicals I am smelling. Hubby smells them as well.

The boom would not be heard at the new digs (name for new home). Hopefully, there is no boom.

Rayven, there are times when people become accustomed to odors to the point they no longer smell them. However, when a door or window is opened, it causes a draft which conveys the odor to another area.
