Story 2

This is supposed to be a story comprised entirely of a list or lists.

Remembering

An old-fashioned television made in 1987 with a tiny model of a SBD Dauntless plane, a plaid love seat with solid blue cover loosely covering, a new leather couch and recliner facing the television, three photo albums from World War II on the large lamp stand, a photo of the U.S.S. Enterprise, a plaque reading “GM William Green: US Navy” and vase above it with dying flowers.  I watered the flowers.

Rolling walker, large dining table set for one with pill bottles invading, pot with water lines and the handle of a wooden spoon sticking out on the stove, sink half full of glasses stained from many uses, half a gallon of milk and three slices of cheese in warm refrigerator, 7 Hardy Man dinners and 3 pizza’s in frozen freezer, a deer head mounted on the wall, handmade grandfather clock still swinging.

Two-month old copy of Deer and Deer Hunting magazine on nightstand, photo album with a picture of a cute couple in front of the grand canyon, unmade king sized bed which I quickly made, a closet with dress shirts and t-shirts interspersed amongst themselves, stacks of dress slacks rising from the floor, and on the dresser what I was looking for: The Last Will and Testament of Joseph Thomas Anderson Sr.
