Baby what?!?!
It's been awhile, but...
Morning meeting today with third graders: Dominique's turn to share. She tells us, "My mom and I are going to my aunt's baby wash this weekend. We're going to bring her stuff and eat cake and it's going to be really fun."
Matham, one of my boys (and the last one who I thought would jump in) says, "I think you mean baby SHOWER."
"Yeah, that's it," she answers.
Of course, the first thought through my mind is, "Is this like a car wash? Can you picture that one?"
