Not Something I'd Usually Do
But when I heard on the news this evening that petrol will be going up another five cents a litre in the morning, I took off my slippers, put on my shoes, and took both cars to the local petrol station to fill them up. I also took the two five litre jerry cans and filled them as well.
A while ago I promised myself that when petrol hits two dollars a litre I would only take my car out once a week. Tomorrow Unleaded 91 goes up to $1.94. For the first time in a long time I'm wishing I lived in a less rural area and could do without a car.

Yeah...petrol/diesel prices are going up here too...but not as high as approximately US $2. They are something around US $1.

NZ $1.94 is about 76 British pence.
US $1 is about 52 British pence.
Unleaded is around £1.10 - £1.20 a litre. British drivers are slowly losing the will to live.
